Hi ! Here we go again !
So today I'm gonna talk about art - all the thing we can call art. Indeed we talked a lot about it in class, either in English or in Philosophy, and it was really interesting.
In English, we saw the graffiti art, thing that I considered before as a vandalism and absolutly not like a piece of any art possible. Well, also it's maybe because my house has been tagged once and I did not really appreciated that. Anyway. My mind changed when we worked about this ; I saw videos and works of what I really call now art, for example, Banksy is a true graf artist ! I did really enjoyed his work, very interesting, and plus, what he does is in the street, everybody can see it because it's for everyone, we don't have to pay or anything to see it and it conveys a message most of the time. I think this is really something we should share and protect, it's a way like an other to "talk" to people and to touch them.
Well, after, I'm for the graffiti but not the tags, tags to me are just useless, it's just something people write on the walls to screw you and nothing more. Graffiti means so much more.
What about what we saw in Philosophy ? Well, I was very surprised so it's why I wanted to talk about it ; we talked about an "artist" called Piero Manzoni (yes he is Italian as you can see) and well, his piece of art is a part of himself ; he just put his excrement in a box - consumation symbolisation we supposed - and made around how many, 30, 60 or 70 like this ? Don't really know, but still, this cost a lot today because it's considered for a lot of people like a piece of art really important. I can understand that this convey a message and show something about our society where everybody has to consume again and again and again everyday of our life but I'm perturbed, I mean, yes I can understand what he wanted to do by doing this but in an other way I do not think it's an art. Can you see all those paintings made by Leonard de Vinci, Michael Ange, Arcimboldo, Picasso, this is work and work, not that !
